Sweeet, micro blog is here :-)
Got the new micro blog here ready to go. Gotta trick it out a little bit though. This micro blog is going to be about my adventures with e-cigarettes. If you don’t know what they are, its basically an electronic cigarette. They’ve been around for a little while kind of under the radar, although the last couple holiday seasons there’s been kiosks at the mall and whatnot. In the age of the internet though, these things don’t stay quiet for long. Recently they are starting to pick up more publicity. The thing with e-cigs is that although its an electronic cigarette that claims to not be as bad (relatively speaking) as a regular cigarette, it is starting to get extremely controversial. So this is why I had the idea to setup a “tv show” website and start doing videos and stuff about it. Some folks believe any alternative to a regular smoke that is still “bad” in some form, should not be marketed as an alternative. Others think well its a good start. I don’t know. I have to do more research into it. There’s a lot of factors at play, the e cig is still a nicotine delivery device - although you can (and a lot of people do) use it as a way to taper off nicotine until you are using it purely as a toy with water vapor.
Yeah so, as it turns out, the most time consuming thing for me in getting this going has been coming up with a logo. Hehe. So here’s what I came up with so far:
I also did a slightly different one but it kind of falls back into the same way I’ve been doing every logo, so I think I’m going to go with this one. Its simple, has a cool gradient, it should do the job.
In any event, I wanted to do a site and get out in front of it because I see it as becoming the next huge thing on the internet that will get lots of publicity as more attention is turned to it. And anything controversial is always good to get into on the web :-)
